The City’s Community Forestry program was established in 2005, and Bonney Lake was awarded 'Tree City' status the same year.

County Parks
There are numerous parks in Pierce County, including Lake Tapps North Park, an alternative boat launch site on Lake Tapps.

The Park Board assists in the development of the Parks Element of the Comprehensive Plan and recommends park policies and rules.

Sumner/Bonney Lake Recreation Department
